Aedrilath the Bladedancer

Aedrilath is a half-elven bladedancer who is over a century in age. He is deadly with his two swords, Driaethla and Rilthadae, a matched pair of magical swords, one slightly curved, the other straight. His two blades complement his style and the magic he sometimes calls forth during battle. Aedrilath was taken in as a teenager by a ranger, and was taught rudimentary survival skills. The ranger was often a companion of elves, who took a liking to the half-elven youth and taught him the skills of the bladedancer. As a bladedancer, Aedrilath combines exquisite swordsmanship with the ability to cast spells through his blades -- a deadly combination. Since joining the Resistance movement, Aedrilath has had many opportunities to put his swordsmanship skill into play. Perhaps most notably, he held the deathknight Arcardy at bay long enough for his companions to escape from a huge cavern, then managed to escape himself. Since the assassination of Celeste, the diminuitive redheaded rogue with whom Aedrilath was falling in love, the half-elf has been more somber still. A fierce determination burns in his eyes, and it will take much to slake his thirst for revenge. Aedrilath commands a small group of bladedancer trainees at Fallon's Retreat, when not adventuring himself. These are crack troops that Duke Imladdin assigns special missions. They are more highly trained than the average guard, and are comprised entirely of elves and half-elves, neither of which are very plentiful in the human-built fortress of Fallon's Retreat even at the best of times, much less in the current atmosphere of growing tension, as Uvios continues to grow his power and set into motions plans for domination. Nevertheless, Aedrilath stalwartly continues to train his small band. Despite his considerable skills with his blades, Aedrilath longs for the opportunity to train under Sirac Silverhair, a Master Bladedancer who has not been seen since his inn, The Sword & Scabbard, was burned to the ground by servants of Uvios.
